Temple of Saint Sava
Temple of Saint Sava is the largest Serbian Orthodox church, the largest Orthodox church in the Balkans and one of the biggest Orthodox churches in the world.
It is located in the eastern part of Svetosavski square, in Belgrade. Erected on the site which is considered to be the place where Sinan Pasha in 1595th. burned remains of Saint Sava, founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church. Construction of the church was financed exclusively by voluntary contributions. Near the temple is the parish house, and there will be located and designed buildings Patriarchate. This memorial temple represents an organic part of modern colorful silhouettes of Belgrade, being one of its main features.
